Doebtown's Wildcard Playoff Predictions

Yeah, Stefanie . . . I KNOW it's not what you were talking about when you clamored for more non-photographic content in the New Year, but I DID want to publicly memorialize my predictions for this weekend's games so I can gloat about how good I am when I'm 100% correct on Monday morning.

WASHINGTON AT TAMPA BAY
* Washington by 3

JACKSONVILLE AT NEW ENGLAND
* New England by 10

CAROLINA AT NEW YORK GIANTS
* New York by 7

PITTSBURGH AT CINCINNATI
* Pittsburgh by 83

I sure hope you're right about that Steelers game...that would be a major blowout...

But, I disagree with the Giants pick...I think they go down

Well, 7 points MAY be a bit of a reach 'cause I DO think it'll be close. And I guess PART of my prediction is based on hometown loyalty. But, really, I don't think Carolina has the offense to get the best of Big Blue.

Well so far so good...Washington wins by 7 and New England wins by 25.
Since the games weren't as close as doebtown predicted perhaps this means the Giants will win by 14 and the Steelers will in fact win by 107.

Oh, Stefanie . . . "if a frog had wings, he wouldn't kick himself in the ass so much." The operative word--and, of course, the operative word in your suggestion that if the Steelers loose I'll have to eat my words--being "if". The point is, a frog DOESN'T have wings, so there's no use in talking about how much more comfortable his hind-quarters would be if he did.

And, BTW, if I could get my trial record to 66.6%, I'd be pretty pleased with myself. So I'm not so sure I agree with this characterization of being 2/3 as "only!"

Well, EXCUSE me for not meeting your high literary expectations in my online banter. I've got ANOTHER expression saying basically the same thing that involves a Queen, a pair of reproductive organs that only males have, and the Queen's aspirations to be a King, but--knowing that this is a family oriented site (which is a polite way to say that I know Kati's mom checks in here every once in a while and I'm still trying to shield her from my less polished side . . . )--it doesn't seem appropriate.
