(Now, I'm on a Westie spree, and can't let a reader get away without watching this video and HERE'S another one that's cute, but it makes me realize how old Jenny is 'cause she USED to play this way and wouldn't EVER have this much energy anymore . . . and HEY, what can I say?--I'm on vacation!-- here's ANOTHER cute Westie video . . . You know, youTube has 200-something other Westie videos but I can't watch them all. These are the cutest ones I saw . . . which are YOUR favorites?

I don't even know what else I can say . . . the Steelers' new mascot has been named Steely McBeam. Yes--it's true that "Steely" isn't a real first name, it's just the root word of "Steelers" with the -ee sound tacked on to the end that's used to make names sound cute. Yes--it's true that when somebody (most commonly, a relatively unimaginative somebody!) wants to make a stupid name out of an idea, the go-to solution is to add Mc- to the front. And, yes--it's true that the only way they could have made this idiotic mascot ANY worse would have been to have given him this AWFUL name.


But . . . that's where we stand. The GOOD news is--by the Steelers' OWN admission--their last attempt at having a team mascot (that was "Stevie Steeler" for those of you who were playing along at home with the How Stupid Can Our Mascots Be game) only lasted for eight (8) years. AND we won on Monday night.
