Twodoebs Analytics

Old twodoebs.com recently rolled over to 20,000 lifetime hits. I realize many of those hits come from Kati and me, but STILL--I'm pretty blown away by that number.

Even though we continue to struggle to keep this site relevant in the Facebook era, thanks to everybody for checking in on us from time to time and helping us reach this milestone!

Libby and the Flamingos

To Be Flamingoed -

A harmless fun "prank" where kids from a local church youthgroup plant a flock of pink plastic flamingos in your yard for 48 hours. You can then "pay" the flock to move onto your neighbors or another friends. (see it's a fund raiser)

We got flamingoed last week and Libby was THRILLED. They are gone now - and she asks about them when we leave or come into the driveway. Luckily the flock seems to still be in the neighborhood so we can go say hi to the Birdies.

HS seniors in Summit do the flamingo game to raise money for project graduation... I have to say that seeing the flocks of flamingos all over town is one of my favorite signs of summer!

Predators have a tough time reaching flamingos in their natural habitat, and flamingos do not compete with very many other animals for food and resources, since they can tolerate conditions which other creatures cannot.
