It was a White-Trash-Party . . . I didn't really GET the connection ('cause *I* like hot dogs and french fries . . . does that make ME white trash?), but I still thought the cake was pretty great!

It was a "trailer park" party, not White TRash. I don't know why that makes it different but somehow I think it does!!

I WAS going to include some crushed beer cans on the platter but there wasn't enough space.

Dude, a cake that has Twinkies stuffed in the middle is a YUMMY cake!

Wedding in Curacao

So last month Doebs and I went to Curacao. You might have guessed by our recent Scuba post that the purpose of the trip was SOLELY to scuba dive. Well WRONG. The original purpose for the trip was to attend the wedding of our good friends David and CC.

It really was a beautiful wedding and we were very lucky to have been included.

Congrats David and CC!!!

I'm a little bummed that I didn't take a better picture. Yak, I know you're disapointed with the technique . . . with the focus (ACTUALLY, I know you're not even SEEING this picture 'cause you don't read this blog). But it's the best we had and the table WAS impressive enough (65 people sat around that table!) that it merrited a picture.

This is plain crazy . . .

This video is about 5 minutes (plus two minutes of pointless German chit chat at the end).
It's from a chinese ballet performing Swan Lake, but it's ballet meets cirque du soleil.

1. The frogs are pretty neat, but nothing compared to the next part
2. That's one of the bendiest ladies I've ever seen
3. it's, as I said, plain old crazy.

Scuba-tastic!

So! Ever Since our Honeymoon Doebs and I had promised ourselves we'd get scuba certified. Well loyal twodoebs readers will know that we did our classroom stuff back in April, but you have to finish up in the real live Ocean. So we did our open water test in the beautiful blue waters of Curacao.

For those of you that don't know, Curacao is one of the Dutch Antilles islands off the coast of Venezuela that while it doesn't have the best beaches it has GREAT scuba. Thanks much to our instructor Chantal from Ocean Encounters who saw us through our final test!

Not so much love going out to the Breezes Curacao where we stayed. See Trip Advisor for our review (Bonus points to the Twodoebs reader who can guess which review is ours!!)

We aren't trained for picture taking under water so I can't share any such pics like that but here is what we DO have!
