We're Homeowners!

Well . . . we're in a CONTRACT to be homeowners! We've REACHED a deal with the sellers!

We're thrilled. The closing date is the end of July.

Negotiations are progressing

Well, despite the slow turn around time in communications, it seems we are progressing in these talks. We seem to have agreement on a closing date and now for the pesky matter of price.

Hopefully they'll take our latest offer sent over as of late last night.

They've Counter-Offered

Well, the sellers of the house we've been hoping for have counter-offered. Without getting into all the details, it's not a favorable counteroffer. And--being honest--it doesn't seem as if we're going to get this deal together.

So, we're disappointed. But we're waiting to see if the sellers have a change of mind. And if they don't, we'll move on to figuring out what the next step is.

For any twodoebs readers feverishly following the negotiations, there are no new updates. Apparently one of our sellers is on a trip "in a different time zone" and is difficult to reach, so communications are going very slow. We expect to hear more today - then again, we said that yesterday didn't we.

We'll keep updating as we hear more!

How cool is my dad . . .

That's right - he's so cool he has a plane. Well, technically he has a 'part' of a plane. He is a co-owner of this beauty along with 4 other people.

A few years ago he decided to get a pilots license and has been working dutifully ever since and is now advanced enough that he can 'jet' off for the day.

For example, he recently went to Florida for lunch. That's right - for lunch.
