This is the best online version of this phe-nom I've seen so far. It's pretty good, but still not QUITE as awesome as the ones they put on the Jumbo-tron at the games.
Many thanks to Schmarbo for sending this along (in his FIRST ever twodoebs post.)
1. The Steelers are playing in the Superbowl on Sunday (that a big part of it) 2. I’ve got THREE fun projects that I’m working on at work 3. A had a great website development meeting last night 4. The Check Engine light is NOT presently on in our car 5. I broke a very important weight-loss threshold this morning and I’m wearing a suit comfortably today that I haven’t fit into in years.
(Did I mention that the STEELERS are in the f'ing Superbowl? AND that my Big Sister is coming to the party?!)
Here's hoping all you twodoesb readers are having a great day, too.
Great pics Matt. Thanks so much for being the photographer for the weekend as it seems that the only thing I took any pictures of was that damn elusive chicken.
If you were on the trip and feel ripped-off at having a camera pointed at you all weekend and only having 10 lousy pictures to show for it, you won't want to miss THIS slide show, either. Check back later for all the pictures of the house, if you're interested.
So I just got back from a great trip to Vegas to celebrate the last few days of what--I'm sure!--was a very illustrious bachelor career for JR. We had a great time! Many thanks to Ed for putting it all together, John for recycling "house money" back towards the trip, and Kati for letting me go off an act like a child for a weekend.
I didn't want to be THAT guy dragging a huge camera all over the place . . . so I didn't.
I did manage one picture of our little end of town:
And here's one of us at the Mesa Grill (I was VERY excited to eat at the Mesa Grill and it did NOT disappoint!):
I ALSO had the opportunity to visit Susan and Scott and go out to Red Rocks National Park. It was VERY cool! Many thanks to Susan for being a great tour guide (and very patient with a new digital photographer!):
Oh Nicole....you should know that as a general rule no cameras are even allowed on a bachelor party trip. The fact that Doebler didn't lose his "man card" for even having a camera in Vegas is a miracle
Oh, PLEASE . . . as if *I* was the only one with a camera there. If I'm going to loose my Man Card it's 'cause I went to a National PARK while I was in Vegas.
Besides--you should have seen me at the OTHER bachelor party . . . I took over 700 pictures there!
So, for Christmas, Kati and I got a new digital camera (read: *I* got a new digital camera). I love it!--it's a Canon D40 and I've been having SO much fun playing with it over the last coupla days.
Anyway, here's a slideshow of some of the first pictures I took with it--they're from Katherine's New Years party, a coupla shots of the Statue of Liberty down in Red Hook down near the Fairway, and a trip Weber, Kati, and I took to Prospect Park today.
