For those of you who know me well, cooking is my hobby. I go to cooking class (thanks to Doebs who keeps me in cooking classes!) I have old trusted favorite recipes; I try new recipes; I almost exclusively watch the Food Network on weekends. I Love to cook.
Well today, I was introduced to a wonderful cooking blog.
The Pioneer Woman Cooks is, after just a short time browsing one of my new favorite sites. Not only is her food simple with simple ingredients, it all looks amazing. Looks- yes this is critical. The Pioneer Woman, in addition to clearly being a wonderful cook, is also an amazing photographer. She photographs literally every step of her recipe so you know exactly what you should be doing. If you're more interested in photography than kitchen fun, check out her
blog (not about cooking) and see some of
her work.
If you are only "medium" about cooking or just unsure about what recipes mean, take a peek at this site...and I'll post up some reviews as I try these recipes out. I am making the
bbq shrimp at my soonest availability!!
Thanks Pioneer Woman...from a City girl!
Since I'm sure Twodoebs regular readers and just sitting around today desperate for another picture of Weber, I thought I'd share one. He had his first trip to the spa this weekend (also known as the dog groomer). He SURE is a handsome little devil!
Hello Friends and Family-
Welcome to our second annual digital Christmas letter. As you know we put forth a Christmas letter of sorts last year and will do so again this year. Rather than count up our blessings and acheivements for the year we will shamelessly plug our own blog by recounting some of our favorite posts in 2007.
I suppose if you're looking for a theme for 2007 it would be our growing family. No...not in "that" way...but in other fun ways.
- The Claus family welcomed their fouth beautiful daughter
Anneliese Joy in September 2007
- JR and Denise welcomed their first beautiful daughter
Hannah Catherine born in October 2007
- Kati and Matt adopted
our first dog in November 2007. He's still getting settled in but we're having a great time!
In other news of 2007
- Everyone learned that the Steelers
new mascot was a grave disappointment
- Matt
fought back against junky customer service from Garmin
We hope you are enjoying what's left of your 2007 and are looking forward to a wonderful 2008.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all the other seasonally appropriate sentiments.
Kati and Matt
