Our Honeymoon Pictures
By: doebtown
Enjoy!--we had such a blast.
By: doebtown
A couple of the very nice gestures from the people at the Royal Hideaway to help us "preserve this very important memory" (truly, though, we couldn't get enough of seeing our name!).

Well, our Mexican hosts might have been eager to please, but they had a hard time with the spelling pretty regularly.

This is Kati on the Forlorn-Mexican-Road attraction we spoke of . . . this is REALLY part of the amusement park we went to--we're NOT lost, it's just crazy out there.

Here's Kati in that recreated Mexican cemetary we enjoyed so much. You can see all of the colorful memorials in the background.

This is one of the memorials at the cemetary--obviously, this is one of a doggie who's waiting at his master's grave.

This one was supposed to be for someone associated with Corona beer--I'm not sure if it's clear from the picture, but it's made ENTIRELY of bottle caps, including the writing.

The MOTHER Load of Wedding Pictures!
By: doebtown
We've received the link to preview the professional pictures taken at our wedding. Wow!--Kati and I just sat here and relived three glorious days with these AWESOME pictures.
To view the pictures yourself, follow these steps. It's a *little* complicated, so everyone is forewarned to follow these directions carefully. If anyone gets lost in the process (Jan, Paula, I'm a little bit lookin' your ways here . . . ), give us a call and we'll walk you through it.
1. Point your web browser to memoriesnmore.net/ (fair notice: this website has music that plays automatically, so if you're at work make sure your speakers are off);
2. Click the link that says "view your pictures" on the left side of the screen;
3. Click the link that says "View your pictures online" in the middle of the screen--a new window will open;
4. In the new window, you will see several "Client Events," including our three events: "***** Wedding," "*********Rehearsal Dinner," and "Katie and Matt's engagements"--I recommend starting with the engagement photos and moving chronologically through the weekend 'cause the pictures just get better and better!
5. Click the link for the Event that you would like to view--you will be directed to the "Event Login."
6. Enter the password--which is "123" (without the quotes) for ALL three Events--and click "Submit"--you will come to the cover page for that Event.
7. Click the link that says "[ enter proof viewer ]" at the bottom of the page--you will come to the Proof Viewer page for that Event.
8. Click the link that says "SlideShow" in the upper-middle part of the page--a new window will open and after a few seconds of loading, the Slide Show will begin . . . sit back and enjoy!
When the Slide Show is finished, it will loop over to start again at the beginning. To view the next event, close the Slide Show window, click the link that says "Change Event" on the right side of the page and start over again from step 5 above.
A few notes:
- There are PROBABLY close to one thousand pictures in these three Event albums. Kati and I sat here and watched all three slide shows and it took us the better part of two hours . . . if you're going to go ALL the way through all of the pictures, go to the bathroom NOW, get yourself comfortable, and turn off the phone, 'cause it's gonna take a while and there's NO way to stop the Slide Show or make it go back.
- This is the Proof Viewer only. You cannot, therefore, download or print these pictures.
- From the Proof Viewer page for an Event, you will have an option to purchase a print by clicking the "Order" link below the picture.
- We, HOWEVER, own the copyrights to these pictures and will be send unrestricted digital images on CD-ROM in a few weeks. Shortly after we receive this CD-ROM, we will create a NEW online album. This new album will have the same pictures that you see in the Proof Viewer (well, maybe a FEW less 'casue we'll edit out some of the less desirable and repetitious shots), but you will be able to download and print the pictures. You will ALSO be able to order MUCH more reasonably priced prints (as well as all the other chachkies available on from the online photo stores: mugs, hats, mouse pads . . . ).
- If, therefore, you cannot WAIT to get one print or another, go ahead and order them now. Otherwise, hold off on buying prints 'till the new albums are put together.

Wedding Pictures
By: doebtown
I wanna come up with one easy place for everyone to see the pictures that everyone else took at the wedding. At the same time, I don't want to spend my WHOLE honeymoon aggregating photo albums or engineering complicated twodoebs postings. So here's what I'm gonna do--I'm gonna just post links to the online albums other people have already put together and I'll put them here. As new content becomes available, I'll republish this posting so it resurfaces on the top of the page.
* (NEW) Mike just sent me a link to his album from the weekend that has some PRICELESS shots in it. This album contains the much anticipated picture of JR with his shark, a couple awesome ones of me and Sisyphus dancing like white people, and--of COURSE--G's totally AWESOME beach outfit! Do NOT miss this one . . .
point your browseer HERE!* A new album has been sent along from Sisyphus. As with all the others, it's very nice, but this one includes many nice shots from the actual ceremony.
Click here to go to the album in the Kodak Gallery.
* I've recently been forwarded an album from Jan. Very nice--mostly pictures of the festevities on Thursday night.
Click here to go to the album in the Kodak Gallery.
* And here's another new one, also from Jan. This album is mostly pictures of the ladies getting ready on Saturday afternoon.
Click here to go to the album in the Kodak Gallery.
* Here's a terrific album from Kristi. She took some AWESOME shots that are available by following
this link. You'll need to either log in with your existing Kodak Gallery username and password, or you'll have to create a new one.
* Here's six nice pictures that T-Diggity took (she sent more, but they're a WHOLE meg each and--even as I sit here writing this--there are angry eyes telling me that I've exhaused my alloted time on the computers in the resort's buisness center . . . it's kinda funny 'cause with so many honeymooners here, there are tons of people who want to log into their e-mail accounts--not to check in with work or to tell their families how much they love them, but to look at their WEDDING pictures!). Click on any of these pictures for a bigger version (believe me, with a meg each, it gets bigger!)
That's all we got so far. If you got some, we would LOVE to see 'em. Feel free to either post a reply to this message or e-mail them directly to me or Kati!
My First Post!
By: Doebette
Well for the regular readers of what was formerly known as doebtown, you've no doubt noticed that the name has changed indicating a new "doebs" is on the scene. I, (known as Sweet Kati on this site or also now, doebette) have joined the prestigious ranks of "publisher".
I would like to echo thoughts previously published here that the last few weeks have been absolutely perfect and I'm still glowing from it all. All of the kindnesses, generosity and well wishes from everyone have been really overwhelming.
As for the "re-entry"...well perhaps I'm not doing as good a job as my partner here...I keep looking around our apartment for a waiter to bring me more champagne! Check back soon for photos from all the recent adventures!

The Honeymoon Journal--Final Entry
By: doebtown
"We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time."
- T.S. Eliot
Sweet Kati and I arrived back in Brooklyn late last night. I carried her over the threshold of our apartment and ceremoniously ended the beginning of our lives together--like everything else in the last two weeks, it was perfect.
We're in the process of putting together a formal list of everyone whose efforts made our journey from Brooklyn to Hilton Head to Mexico and back to Brooklyn such a success. Rest assured ('cause I KNOW someone out there's loosin' sleep, saying "WHEN will I get to see a formal list of everyone whose efforts made Matt & Kati's journey such a success" . . . ) we'll post this list as soon as it's ready--we don't want to leave ANYONE out.
This being the "HONEYMOON Journal," though, I have a couple of thanks that I would like to make solely with regard to the honeymoon phase of the journey-at-large. First, many thanks to Bob and Paula for their generous financial support. We could not have enjoyed the trip NEARLY as much as we did without your contributions. Thanks also to Helen Blair at American Global Travel. When we were floundering around in the confusion of honeymoon planning, Helen stepped right in and cleared the waters for us. Finally, thanks to the "visitors, STAFF, and guests" (prize to the person--OTHER than Sweet Kati--who can tell me what movie THAT quote comes from! . . . ) of the Royal Hideaway. Everything came together perfectly for a super-dup' relaxing stay at a beautiful resort.
As for the "re-entry?" . . . it's SURPRISINGLY in keeping with the touch of gold that's blessed just about everything else on this journey. With any luck, I'll be caught up before lunch!
